Shomi Kaiser becomes SAARC Chamber EC member

Shomi Kaiser, President of the apex body of the e-commerce traders E-CAB, has been appointed as Executive Committee member of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
She will serve in the committee of the South Asia Business organisation for the tenure of 2023-2024. She has been included in the committee as the only female member this year to implement the intention of sustainable trade ties of smart economy.
Shomi Kaiser, a successful woman entrepreneur, producer and political figure, has continued to make maximum efforts to develop the country’s e-commerce sector in building Smart Bangladesh.
“I am happy to get the new responsibility. This is a big achievement for me. We want to further advance the development of e-tourism, cottage industry and startup sector in the country,” she said.
“At the same time, I want to connect the IT and e-commerce sectors in the regional economic alliance,” she added.
