SIM of UNO, Bijoynagar found in stolen mobile phone

Bijoynagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Brahmanbaria District, AS Irfan Uddin Ahmed’s SIM registered with NID card was found in the stolen mobile phone.
On Thursday, May 25, the general secretary of Ashuganj Upazila Press Club, the correspondent of The Bangladesh Today and the news editor of Brahmanbaria weekly Satya Digant journalist Md. Ashiqur Rahman filed a case in the court on charges of theft, robbery, Case No. C, R Md. No. 212/2023.
According to the case statement, last December 21, 2022, on the road adjacent to the brick kiln of the chairman of Talshahr area of Ashuganj upazila, some masked miscreants stole Samsung Galaxy A50 IMEI number-356259/10/ 470172/9, 356260/ 10/470172/7. Valuable documents including mobile set worth US$ 500, approximately Rs 7,500/- and a gold chain of 1 heavy weight and 1 ring of 6 annas weight were forcibly taken away.
The plaintiff made a GD entry at Ashuganj police station on 19/02/2023. G.D. No.- 1160. On the basis of the said GD, after the investigation by the police, the name and address of the accused was revealed.
Later, the defendant began to sue the plaintiff without returning the described goods including the mobile phone. In the said case, His Majesty’s court took cognizance of it and directed the officer-in-charge of Ashuganj police station to submit an investigation report. In this regard, Ashuganj police station officer said, ASI Mojibur Rahman has been assigned the responsibility of losing the mobile phone and will take action after investigation. In this regard, GD investigating officer working at Ashuganj police station, ASI Md. Mojibur Rahman said, after searching the CDR in GD root, we reached the phone location and the mobile phone user was a woman.
When he gave the phone number, UNO PA Faisal told that he was the UNO of Bijoynagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
In this regard, journalist Ashiqur Rahman said that he hopes to get justice and the goods back through His Highness’s court to get back the looted goods.
When I spoke to the Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner about this, he said that he did not know anything.
Bijoynagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer AES Irfan Uddin was contacted by phone in this regard and he said that he had heard about the case but had not received the copy of the case.
