Death anniv of ex-MP Nurul Haque today

The 50th death anniversary of AFM Nurul Haque Hawlader, a prominent politician, one of the organizers of the Liberation War and a former member of parliament (MP), will be observed today.

On this occasion, the Nurul Haque Foundation will organize different programmes, including offering ziarat at the graveyard, Quran Khwani, milad-mahfil and special prayers, today at Nurul Haque’s village home, reports BSS.

Nurul Haque was elected Member of Parliament from Naria in the country’s first Jatiya Sangsad election in 1973.
He played an important role as a local organizer of the Liberation War in 1971 and fought against the Pakistani occupation forces to liberate the country.
