Alal asks AL what about getting rice at Tk 10 per kg?

BNP Joint-Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal questioned the government about its election time pledge of giving rice by Tk 10 per kg to the people.
“What about your promise of giving rice at Tk 10 per kg? How is the cost of rice in the market now?” Alal asked while addressing a rally in front of the National Press Club in the capital organised by left leaning Gonotantrik Bam Oikkya demanding an end to the indiscriminate arrest of the opposition parties’ leaders and activists, establishing democracy, holding fair elections and press home its 13 points demands.
The BNP leader said that there is no reason to wish good health of the the citizens of this country until ousting this government.
“Before unseating this government and then controlling the essential commodity markets, no scope of wishing good health of citizens of the country,” Alal said.
He also said that there is no benefit of urging to this government to reinstall democracy in the country.
The former Jubodal President said that the government and the ruling Awami League leaders have established Begum para in Canada and other countries by plundering and laundering huge money from the country. He said that the people of the country is now only seeking fall of this government.
Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) President Harunur Rashid presided over the event. Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal (ML) General Secretary Harun Chowdhury, Social Democratic Party President Abul Kalam Azad and Somajtantrik Mojdur Party President Dr. Shamsul Alom, among others, were present in the programme.
