Before the start of the monsoon season, the number of dengue-infected patients is increasing in the hospitals and elaborate preparations are necessary to reduce the pressure of patients in the hospitals.

The above concerns were expresses by Professor Dr. Mohammad Nazmul Islam, the Line Director of Disease Control and spokesperson of the DGHS, during an online news conference on Wednesday, “We can observe that the number of dengue cases is significantly higher, even though the official monsoon season has not yet started.
Therefore, we believe that precautionary measures and preparedness are necessary,” he said.

About the government preparation he said, “We have already initiated those measures. We want to raise awareness among the people of our country so that everyone follows health guidelines and precautions from their respective places during this season.” Regarding the joint efforts of the city corporations of Dhaka, he said, “We are also working together with the health workers of Dhaka North and South City Corporations.”
