Homage paid to Bangabandhu

Leaders of Gopalganj district Awami League (AL) paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the late leader’s Joliot-Curie Peace Medal receiving.

Leaders of Gopalganj district AL led by its President Mahabub Ali Khan and its General Secretary GM Sahabuddin Azam on Tuesday placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara , reports BSS.

Vice- President and Member of Zilla Parishad Advocate Munshi Md Atiyar Rahman, Joint-General Secretary Subrata Thakur Hiltu, Office Secretary Ilyas Haque, Tungipara Municipal Awami League President Sheikh Saiful Islam, among others, were present.

After laying the wreath, the leaders stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of Bangladesh’s independence.
