The High Court has directed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate against the concerned officials of the Sonali Bank, Bangladesh Bank, Customs Authority and Chartered Accountant Firm ACNABIN to dig out their involvement in providing incentives against false export bills.
It also asked the ACC to conduct investigation against the businessmen concerned who received the money in fraudulent way.
The Anti-Corruption Commission has been directed to submit a report with the court on or before July 18 in 2023 stating the outcome of the investigation.
The High Court bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar and Justice Md Rashed Jahangir passed the order on May 18 last after discharging the rules issued following some writ petitions those were filed by the businessmen challenging a Sonali Bank notification asking to refund the incentive money received by them.
