MCC awareness campaign to prevent dengue begins

Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) has started an awareness campaign to prevent dengue. MCC Mayor Md. Ekramul Haque Titu inaugurated this programme by distributing awareness leaflets among the pedestrians on the streets of Nagar Bhaban area on Monday.
This awareness campaign will continue throughout the dengue season. 20 employees of the city corporation will distribute leaflets and awareness messages about dengue prevention among the city dwellers. In addition, Md. Yusuf Ali, the chief executive officer of MCC, said that miking activities and social media campaign activities will continue to increase public awareness to prevent dengue.
At that time, Mayor Md. Ekramul Haque Titu said, there is no alternative to public awareness to prevent dengue. Be personally aware and keep your home and surrounding bushes, forests, water bodies clean. Care should be taken that the used items such as open water tanks, flower tubs etc. do not accumulate water for more than three days.
He also said that we are working with the utmost importance to increase public awareness. We are trying to convey the message of awareness to the people through all means of campaigning. With everyone’s cooperation, we hope to keep Mymensingh city dengue free this time like other times.
At this time, the chief health officer Dr. HK Debnath, Public Relations Officer Sheikh Mahabul Hossain Rajib, Executive Engineer Vidyut Md Zillur Rahman, Food and Sanitation Officer Deepak Muzamdar, journalists and others were present.
