With the invitation of Ameer of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Bangladesh delegation headed by Sheikh Hasina will attend the event.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Seheli Sabrin said this at the weekly media briefing on Thursday.

Organised with the assistance of Bloomberg, this forum is expected to be attended by heads of state and government, ministers, renowned economists, and experts in technology, finance, and business from various countries around the world.

The main objective of this forum is to address ongoing global challenges and crises and explore solutions through enhanced mutual cooperation among international communities, leading to transformative economic responses.

The Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg, is the Middle East’s leading voice dedicated to global business and investment. With its laser-like focus on the major economic issues facing international CEOs, Heads of State, and money markets, the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg, provides fresh and unique perspectives on the issues driving global boardroom conversations, the website of the forum stated.

Strategically located in Doha, the Forum draws on Qatar’s ability to link Asia with Africa and beyond, as well as its position as a key global diplomatic hub and a leader in LNG energy technologies.

Though the press briefing has not mentioned in detail about the PM’s visit to Doha, it is expected that she will have meetings with representatives of Doha to discuss on LNG as Bangladesh has utmost need for it to keeping running its gas and electricity generation.
The entire country is now facing load shedding due to the interruption of LNG supply from Maheshkhali floating terminals for power generation.
In the upcoming days, the necessity of LNG will be imperative for keeping the gas-run power plants in the country.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently concluded her tri-nation visit to Japan, US and UK.
