Int’l Mother’s Day celebrated

Department of Women Affairs has arranged a discussion, cheque, food distributing among poor women and presenting gifts to their mother as marking the International Mother’s Day on Sunday.
A discussion meeting was held at Women ‘s Affairs Office Conference Room on Sunday noon.
ADC (Education & ICT) Farzana Khanam attended the programme as the Chief Guest while Deputy Director (DD) Mamunur Rashid presided over.
It was addressed among others by Senior Medical Officer (SMO) of Civil Surgeon Office, Mohila Parishad District President Adv Maya Bhowmickohila, Mohila Awami League District General Secretary Bilkis Begum, Senior journalist Alam Sarowar Tito, Sadar upazila Vice Chairman Masuma Akhter and Joyeeta Kohinoor Afzal.
BSS from Rajshahi adds: The International Mother’s Day was observed here Sunday with the call for ensuring honour, love and dignity to all mothers.
To mark the day, the District Administration and Department of Women Affairs jointly organized a discussion at the office conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner (DC).
Main theme of the International Mother’s Day 2023 is to acknowledge the idea of motherhood. Rather, the focus is on celebrating motherhood and honoring mothers globally.
Happy Mother’s Day 2023 wishes images, messages, status, quotes: This year, Mother’s Day is being celebrated. The occasion is to honour mothers and the invaluable role they play in our lives.
DC Shamim Ahmed and Superintendent of Police Masud Hossain addressed the discussion as chief and special guests respectively with Deputy Director of department of women affairs Sobnam Shirin in the chair.
Joint Director of National Security Intelligence Sanwar Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr Abu Sayeed Faruque, Additional District Magistrate Sabiha Sultana, Additional DC Kolyan Chowdhury and Deputy Director of Department of Narcotics Control Alamgir Hossain also spoke.
The discussants unanimously mentioned that there is no need of time and date for loving but the mothers deserve love and honour always.
Only the mothers love their kids without any intention and interest. So, the mothers should be kept above all.
