SSC candidate’s body found
The police have recovered the body of an SSC candidate named Ajay Bauri (17) at Baradal tea garden of Uttarbhag union of Rajnagar upazila of Moulvibazar on Monday . The police and the family members of the deceased are initially thinking that she may have committed suicide due to emotional distress over love issues. Deceased Ajay Bauri (17) son of Shankar Bauri of Baradal tea garden. He is an SSC exam candidate of Bimalacharan Bhumukhi High School of upazila.
According to the police and the victim’s family sources, the deceased Ajay Bauri left home on Monday afternoon saying that he was going to do group study of mathematics with his classmates. As the afternoon turned into night, but he did not return home, the family members kept looking for him in various places around. When asked about his classmates, they said that Ajay did not go to group study. At one point, around two o’clock in the night, the family went to the north.
A large group of Unionists found his body hanging from a defal tree in a section of the tea garden. Later, when the matter was reported to the police, the police went and recovered the body at around 4:30 am.
Ajay Bauri’s family claims that Ajay had a love affair with a local girl. She was in mental distress as the girl’s family threatened her several times over the issue.

Nephew killed by uncle
Nephew Sunil Goala (35) died after being stabbed by his drunken uncle in Gazipur tea garden of Kulaura upazila of Moulvibaz on Tuesday night. Deceased Sunil Goala is the son of Gazipur tea garden worker Kamal Goala.
In connection with the death of Sunil Goala, police have arrested uncle Chandra Goala on Tuesday night from Gazipur Tea Gardern the upazila.
According to the police, on Tuesday evening, uncle-nephew quarreled in front of their house due to a family dispute in Gazipur Tea Bagan area. At one point in the altercation, Sunil was seriously injured when Chandra Goala hit his nephew with a knife.
Later, the garden workers quickly rescued Sunil and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Later, uncle Chandra Goala, the nephew’s killer, was arrested in a raid in Gazipur tea garden area at night.
Confirming the matter, Kulaura police station SI Salauddin Mifta said that the accused Chandra Goala was sent to jail by the learned court on Wednesday morning after his arrest.
Child violated in Kamalganj tea garden
A 6-year-old child was raped in Shamshernagar tea garden of Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar. In this incident, a local UP member handed over the accused to the police station and he was arrested. The mother of the rape victim has filed a case at the Kamalganj police station as the plaintiff. The incident took place on hill number 6 of Shamshernagar Tea Bagan at 7:30 pm on Saturday. The rape victim is under treatment in Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital.
Locals said that Dipu Reli (17), son of Sanmunna Reli, 6th tiller of Shamshergar Tea Garden, called him to his house about work and raped a 6-year-old child from the neighboring house. After some time the child came back covered in blood and Halla screamed and cried. Then the people of the neighboring house took the local UP member Yakub Mia, who took the rapist Dipu Raili along with the child to the police station. One killed in elephant attack
A man of Kulaura upazila died in an attack while bringing an elephant to Juri upazila of Moulvibazar. The incident took place in the Chungabari area of Fultala Union of the upazila on Sunday evening. However, the police say that the body of the deceased has been sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for postmortem today. The name of the deceased mahout is Russell Mia (40). He is the deceased martyr of Tattiuli village of Karmadha union of Kulaura upazila
Son Chinu Mia, another mahout who was with Russell, said that they were working with elephants on Sunday evening in Chungabari area of Juri. At that time, a bamboo truck was passing through the road.
