Easy win for Prime Bank in DPL

Prime Bank Cricket Club recorded an easy six-wicket victory over Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in their Super League match of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday.

Chasing Mohammedan’s paltry total of 109 off 27.3 overs, Prime Bank romped home making 113 for the loss of four wickets when they had 29.1 overs to spare.

Openers Shahadat Hossain and Zakir Hasan of Prime Bank made a good start as they put on together 50 runs in the opening stand before Shahadat Hossain was trapped leg before wicket by Nazmul Islam.

Shahadat Hossain made 30 from 24 balls featuring four fours and a sixer.

Mohammad Mithun and Prantik Nawrose Nabil built another notable partnership scoring together 44 runs for the third wicket partnership before Nabil was dismissed by Nazmul Islam when Prime Bank’s score was 101 for the loss of three wickets.
Nabil scored 30 from 26 deliveries including three fours and two sixer.

Nazmul Islam was his team’s most successful bowler with three wickets for 39 runs.
Earlier, Rubel Mia, Imrul Kayes, Khaled Ahmed and Abdul Mazid was the three batters of Mohammedan who could reach double digit figures making 21, 19 (not out), 16 and 15 runs respectively.

Kashif Bhatti captured four wickets in the space of 44 runs, while Rejaur Rahman Raja grabbed three wickets at the cost of 22 runs and Nasir Hossain bagged two wickets instead of 13 runs. Rejaur Rahman Raja was adjudged the Man of the Match.
