Viqarunnisa’s ex-principal Husne Ara dies

Former Principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and Azimpur Govt. Girls’ School and College Husne Ara Begum passed away at a city hospital at the age of 73 on Monday afternoon.

Husne Ara breathed her last at city’s Bangladesh Specialized Hospital at 3:41 pm after suffering from a cardiac arrest, her only son-in-law Asst Prof Dr ASM Tanim Anwar told media.

She left behind her husband valiant freedom fighter Mushtaque Ahmed Helal, only daughter Barrister Rimi Nahreen and a host of relatives, admirers and colleagues to mourn her death’reports BSS.

Husne Ara also performed her duty as advisor of Rajarbagh Police Lines School and College and as a teacher at Rifles Public School and College in her long teaching career.

She was buried at Mohammadpur graveyard following her namaz-e-janaza at Laalmatia staff quarter Jame e mosque after Johr prayer.
