Hasan mourns death of AL leader Ukil Ahmad

Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Monday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League (AL) Rangunia upazila unit leader Ukil Ahmad Talukder.

In a condolence message, the minister said Talukder was involved in humanitarian and social works throughout his life. The veteran AL leader will ever be remembered for his outstanding contribution to the society, he said.

Hasan prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Talukder died at a city hospital due to old-age complications in the early hours of today. He was 84.

He left behind three sons, five daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his heath.
He was a member of advisory council of AL Rangunia upazila unit.
