Mother sentence to death for killing her daughter

A Tribunal in Kishoreganj on Sunday sentenced a mother to death for killing her daughter in Kishoreganj sadar.
The Special Judge (District Judge) of Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal-1 Mohammad Habibullah gave this verdict in the presence of the accused, tribunal also fined Tk. 10,000.
Accused mother named Achma Akhter (36) in Purbcharpara village under Latibabad Union of Kishoreganj.
Special public prosecutor (PP) of Kishoreganj advocate M. A Afzol confirmed these facts.
According t o Case Diary (CD) , On 2008, Achma Akhter married a person named Ashraf Uddin of Natore of her own choice. After two years of marriage, a daughter was born to them. In 2013, her husband Ashraf died in a road accident in Capital ‘s Mahakhali.
Later, Achma came to her father’s house with her daughter Shiuli khta.
Achma married Abdul Quader of Joydevpur area of Gazipur in 2017 while staying at her father’s house. After marriage, Kader often came to her in-laws’ house. He would leave again after two or three days. Sometimes Achma also visited Kader’s house with her daughter.
At one point, when there was animosity between them, they stopped coming to Kader’s in-laws’ home. But Achma used to come and go to Kader. Suddenly one day he came from there and stopped talking with family members. On February 15, 2020, when her brother’s mother-in-law went to their house, Achma prevented her from entering the house. There is a conflict with the family members.
The next morning, his 10-year-old Shiuli called Akhtar from school and force-fed him a rat-killing tablet. Later, when her mother Manwara Begum prevented her, she strangled her daughter Shiuli by twisting the wire of the mobile phone by pushing .
