One killed, 35 injured in Hossainpur clash

A man. was killed and. at least 35 people were injured in a clash between two parties over Eid prayers at Zinaray Eidgah in Hossainpur upazila of Kishoreganj on Eid day (Saturday) morning.
Deceased Nazrul Islam (38) son of Md. Mofiz Uddin in Katihari village of Hossionpur upazila.
According to local sources, around 7 in the morning, there was an argument between the two parties of the same group based on the earlier and later Eid congregation at Zinaray Eidgah. At one point, both sides clashed. During the clash, at least 30 people including Nazrul Islam were injured due to the pelting and beating of opponents.
The seriously injured Nazrul Islam was rescued and taken to Hossainpur Upazila Health Complex while duty doctor declared him dead. Abu Taher (60), Juhan (20) and Sabbir (18) who were seriously injured in the incident are undergoing treatment at Hossainpur Upazila Health Complex.
