Highest temperature in the country Pleading for rain in Ishwardi

Swapan Kumar Kundu, Ishwardi (Pabna) :

The residents of the area prayed to Allah in the hope of raining on the Orankola Eidgah ground in Ishwardi to the tune of Abbas Uddin’s song ‘Alla Megh De, Pani De Chhaya Dere Tui, Alla Megh De.’ on Thursday .
Children and teenagers go from house to house, sing, dance, sprinkle water and collect rice and pulses for unemployed people in summer. The event was organized by Yusuf Ali Pradhan, 9th ward councilor of the municipality. Barrister Syed Ali Jiru, Labor Secretary of Pabna District Awami League, inaugurated the event. This very ancient Bengali culture was found due to the prevailing extreme heat waves. Extreme heat waves are blowing in the region throughout the week. There has been no rain in the last few months. Last Monday (April 17), Ishwardi recorded a temperature of 43 degrees, which is the highest in the country this season. Last Tuesday (April 18) standing in the temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius, the Muslims also offered Istiska Namaz for rain at Ishwardi Central Eidgah Maidan. Again on Wednesday the highest temperature of the country was 42.8 degrees in Ishwardi.
In order to solve these problems, the ancient Bengali culture met after a long time in anticipation of the desired rain.
In the second phase, Ishwardi again recorded the highest temperature of the country at 42.8 degrees. Ishwardi Meteorological Office observer Nazmul Haque Ranjan said that the highest temperature of the country was recorded at 42.8 degrees on Wednesday. A very intense heatwave is flowing over Ishwardi. Earlier on Monday (April 17), the temperature of Ishwardi was recorded at 43 degrees. He said, 36-38 degree mild heat wave, 38-40 degree moderate and 40-42 degree severe heat wave. A heat wave above 42 degrees is called an extreme heat wave.
Imbardi township is burning with the highest temperature record. There has been a severe heat wave for the past few days. As the intense sun spreads like fire in the light air during the day, the streets-markets and even the Eid bazaar are less crowded. People’s life has become unbearable due to intense and extreme heat wave prevailing in Ishwardi. Besides, as the amount of water vapor in the air is low, the body is burning as soon as one goes out of the house. Frequent loadshedding is no relief at home either. Load shedding has made life more miserable.
