Kongjari Chowdhury received the Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Award

Former Chairman of Khagrachhari Hill Zilla Parishad, Kongjari Chowdhury has received Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Award-2023. India-Bangladesh Cultural Council gave him this award in the social service category. Apart from him, this award was given to Tahidur Rahman, a teacher of Dhaka University in education and Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman of ATN Bangla in media.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee formally presented the award at Rabindra Bhavan in Kolkata. Awardees are given crests, certificates and medals.
Meanwhile, the Central President of Marma Development Council Khagrachhari Hill District Mongprue Chowdhury congratulated former Chairman of Khagrachhari Hill Zilla Parishad Kongjari Chowdhury on receiving the Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Award-2023. He was officially received in Guimaras on Thursday by the Marma Development Council .
