Impartial probe into Jasmine’s death demanded

Protesting the unusual death of Sultana Jasmine in the custody of RAB-5 in Naogaon, right body Janodhikar Foundation on Thursday demanded independent and impartial probe body to investigate the custodial death.
Jasmine, an employee of a Naogaon union land office who stood accused in a case under the Digital Security Act died in the custody on March 22.
Claiming the incident is unexpected, the right body demanded justice and exemplary punishment for the offender by conducting an impartial investigation, according to a statement.
An independent inquiry commission is needed to investigate the allegation of custodial death, said Advocate Parveen Akter, Executive Director of the Janodhikar Foundation.
