Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury mentioned that the developments that are visible in Sylhet are unplanned and said that even though the current mayor belongs to BNP, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given open arms for the development of Sylhet. But even today, the residents of the city have not seen any planned development. Although Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very sincere in the development of Sylhet, Anwaruzzaman thinks that the unplanned development of Sylhet is taking place with the money allocated by her. He said that the Prime Minister has given Tk 7.5 thousand crores for Sylhet International Airport, Dhaka-Sylhet four-lane project has started, Tk 1200 crores have been allocated for the development of Sylhet city.
