2nd Div Cricket: Udayachal, Mariner Young’s post wins

Udayachal Club and Dhaka Mariner Young’s Club registered wins in their respective Group-A matches of the Dhaka Metropolis 2nd Division Cricket League at two different venues in Dhaka on Thursday.
In the day’s 50 over-a-side match, Udayachal Club beat Biman Bangladesh by 50 runs at City Club Ground.
Batting first after winning the toss Udayachal Club scored 174 runs for all in 49.4 overs. Chasing the target of 175 runs, Biman Bangladesh scored 124 runs for 9 in 40.3 overs. Number 11 Habibur Rahman was absent.
In the other match, Dhaka Mariner Young’s Club beat North Bengal Cricket Academy by 2 wickets at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
Batting first North Bengal CA scored 164 runs for all in 45.2 overs. To set 165 runs to win, Dhaka Mariner YC reached the target scoring 168 runs for 8 in 39.4 overs.
