Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out of the one-off Test against Ireland due to a side strain, confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon. :
Injuries have been following him from the beginning of his international career. In the last two years, however, he has changed himself a lot and emerged in a new form but injuries have struck him again.
The birthday boy has been suffering from his old injury amid the T20I series.
The Tigers have been doing practice session since on Monday but the speed star, who had been present yesterday, did not bowl at the nets, which was okay because other pacers did the same.
Due to injury, Taskin cannot be regular in Test cricket. Last year, in December, he returned to red-ball cricket with the Mirpur Test against India. Earlier, this right-arm pacer did not play Tests due to injury for 7 months.
Taskin was the highest wicket-taker in the T20 series against Ireland. He took 8 wickets in 3 matches with an economy rate of 7.10. Taskin was in great form in the ODI series as well. He took 5 wickets in 2 innings in the 3-match ODI series.
