Aziznagar UP Chairman assaults mother, child

A mother and her child were tourcher by Jasim Uddin, UP Chairman of Aziz Nagar a medieval style for gold theft in Aziznagar of Lama Upazila of Bandarban.
At that time, the locals called 999 after hearing their screams and the police came and rescued them. Selina Akhter (27) of Ward No. 6 of Aziz Nagar Union and her child Md Salim alias Chuad (9) admitted to torture. UP Chairman Jasim Uddin, the torturer, is a resident of Ward No. 3. In this incident, Selina Akhter’s husband and Chuad’s father filed a written complaint at Morshed police station. On the other hand, Jasim Chairman also filed a general complaint at Lama police station on theft charges.
 Chuad’s father Md. Morshed said, Jasim Chairman’s wife called me and asked me to meet last Saturday night, when I and my wife met, they accused our son of stealing gold and beat us three, they beat us in medieval style. Last Sunday wrote down my property and asked my son to take it. We called 999 today and rescued the boy.
He also said that for the past 2 years, the chairman has taken my son to do housework after talking about his studies, but he did not give us any money for two years.  However, Aziz Nagar UP Chairman Jasim Uddin, who is accused in this regard, said, I did not beat him, Chuad stole gold from my house and hid it, I complained to the police station about the gold theft. These are just conspiracies against me.
 However, regarding the incident, the officer in charge of Lama police station Mohammad Shahidul Islam Chowdhury said that the complaint of the victim’s father has been recorded as a case.
