Anti-adulteration drive in Sylhet City

An anti-adulteration operation has been conducted to stop adulteration of daily essential products in Sylhet during the month of Ramzan. The operation was carried out in the uposhohor area in Sylhet city on Tuesday afternoon.
During the raid, a fine of Tk 10 thousand was collected from Fiza & Company.
National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection conducted this operation to prevent the increase in the prices of daily necessities in view of Ramadan.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-09) members cooperated in the operation.
The National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection conducted the operation in the uposhohor area on Tuesday afternoon. A team led by Shyamal Purkayastha, assistant director of the Sylhet division of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, conducted the operation.
The officials of Sylhet Division of National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection said that this operation was conducted by the Sylhet Divisional Office of National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection in view of Ramadan. At that time, due to lack of price list in the shop, adulteration of food, fine was collected immediately. It is known that this campaign will continue every day of Ramadan so that no one can create an unstable environment by increasing the prices of daily necessities during Ramadan.
