Dhaka commuters face heavy traffic congestion

News Desk :
Dhaka commuters in the capital are passing another day of suffering as there are huge traffic snarls in various roads of the capital since Tuesday morning, the second working day of the holy month of Ramzan.
The capital’s Uttara, Banani, Mohakhali, Jahangir Gate, Bijoy Sarani intersection, Farmgate, Shahbagh, Matsya Bhaban and Paltan roads have witnessed heavy traffic since morning.
Apart from the office going passengers, the passengers going to different destinations have to wait in the traffic for a long time.
However, traffic pressure is slightly less on various roads of the capital on Tuesday as compared to Monday.
Apart from that, in continuation of the development activities of various roads, the road repair work is going on. Because of this,
the roads are now narrowed, causing a lot of traffic in those areas.
For Monday’s experience, many people had to leave their homes before the scheduled time but got stuck in the traffic jam.
A resident of Uttara dubbed Mamun, an official of a private bank in Motijheel of the capital, said that traffic congestion has increased due to Ramzan. He was sitting in the traffic jam before the army stadium to enter Dhaka from Uttara.
