‘Arav Khan not arrested in Dubai’

State Minister of Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam said absconding Rabiul Islam alias Arav Khan is not arrested in Dubai. But he will not be able to escape.
The minister said this while addressing reporters at the foreign ministry in the capital on Tuesday.
He said, all I can said that any accused person from Bangladesh won’t be able to escape in friendly-country.
When asked whether they are trying to bring back Rabiul, Shahriar Alam said, “We have already contacted the authorities of that country about him.”
Rabiul Islam alias Arav Khan, a fugitive suspect in the 2018 murder of a policeman.
He came into the spotlight recently after opening a jewellery store in the United Arab Emirates. Many Bangladeshi celebrities, including cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, actress Prarthana Fardin Dighi and social media star Ashraful Alom aka Hero Alom flew out to Dubai for the store’s inauguration at Arav’s invitation.
