Tk 11 crore robbery: Mastermind among 3 held with Tk 58 lakh

Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested the mastermind Akash and recovered Tk 58,07,000 from his possession in a case filed over the snatching of Tk 11.25 crore of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL).
With this, a total of Tk 7,41,55,500 has been recovered so far in the snatching incident.
Additional Commissioner and Chief of DMP’s Detective Branch Mohammad Harun Or Rashid disclosed this in a press conference at the DMP Media Centre in the capital on Tuesday noon.
Earlier on Sunday, Tk 2,53,99,000 was recovered in cash.
On March 9, Tk 11.25 crore was robbed from a vehicle of Money Plant Link Private Limited carrying Dutch-Bangla Bank’s money at road No 11 in Diabari under Turag thana in the capital.
Later, Alamgir Hossain, Director of the Money Plant Link, filed a case against 10-12 unidentified people with Turag Police Station over the incident.
