Political party will get registration after fulfilling 100 per cent of the conditions stipulated in the law, otherwise they will not be registered, Election Commissioner Md Alamgir said.
If any condition is not fulfilled then registration will not be granted,” EC Md Alamgir said in response to questions from reporters at his office in the Election Commission building on Sunday (12 March).
About 93 political parties have submitted application for getting registration.
Md. Alamgir said that the work of verifying the application is going on. To be finalized by June. According to the law and rules, those who are eligible will get registration, those who are not eligible will not get it. Nothing matters outside the law.
He also said that those whose documents are correct, only those who will be verified at the field level, the rest will not be. He said that no political recommendation has come regarding the registration.
In response to the questions of the journalists, the Election Commissioner said that everything is clarified in the law. If there is anything in the constitution of a party like religious or racial discrimination, hatred, or if the committees they have formed are not proper, if there is anything unconstitutional in the party constitution, they will not get registration.
EC will look into everything according to law and regulations. No chance to see anything else.
