Shameem for building technology-based economy by 2041

Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem on Friday urged all to work together to achieve the goal of building an advanced, modern and technology-based economy to materialize the dream of building ‘Smart Bangladesh’ by 2041.
“Good governance has been ensured with the development of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Therefore, everyone must work collectively to achieve the goal of building an advanced, modern and technology-based economy in 2041,” he said.
He said this while addressing the opening ceremony of the overall development work of Kartikpur Bazar in Vedarganj of Shariatpur district as the chief guest.
The deputy minister also said that following the path shown by Bangabandhu, people-friendly leader and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has built a digital Bangladesh based on modern technology instead of a labour-based economy with talent, honesty and courage.
He said the premier has graduated the least developed Bangladesh as a developing country.
About her good governance and development endeavors, Shameem said the government led by the premier is providing social safety to a large number of people. The safety programmes include old age allowance, widow allowance and disability allowance for the elderly people of the country.
Mujib centenary gifted houses were provided to landless and homeless people in the country amid ‘Mujid Shoto-Borsho’, he said.
He also hoped that no family will remain homeless in the country in the days to come.
“Sheikh Hasina’s enviable success has become a role model for development in the country and international area,” he added.
Shameem hoped that the people will elect Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister for the fifth time in the next election.
President of Kartikpur Bazar Banik Samiti SM Rafiq Sarkar presided over the event while Shariatpur Zila Parishad Vedarganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Humayun Kabir Mollah, Union Parishad Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun, Zila Parishad Panel Chairman MA Qaiyum Paik and Charvaga Union Parishad Chairman and Bir Muktijoddha Habibur Rahman Sikder were present as special giests, among others, on the occasion.
