Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said that the desired development of the country is not possible without the empowerment of women. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is a successful woman.
She is now a role model to the world for the development of women’s society. Chittagong has immense importance in every movement and struggle of the country.
We want to make Chittagong the first smart district of Bangladesh. For this purpose, a total of 50 ideas including 3 ideas or concepts from 15 upazilas and 5 from metropolis will be taken. Those who will have smart district with proper concept and planning will be rewarded. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we will build a smart Bangladesh by 2041.
He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the International Women’s Day discussion meeting and women’s rally at Chittagong Shishu Academy Auditorium on Wednesday (March 8) at 10 am. District Administration and Directorate of Women Affairs organized this meeting.
The theme of the day is ‘Digital technology and innovation, elimination of gender inequality, Sheikh Hasina’s message, equality between men and women’. Before the discussion, a women’s rally was held on the ground of Shishu Academy.
