Bangladesh U-20 eve football team will face their Turkmenistan counterpart in their opening H group match of the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers today at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamlapur.
The match will kick off at 5.00pm. Bangladesh Television will telecast the match live, while Bangladesh Betar will broadcast the running commentary of the matches
Bangladesh will play their second and ultimate group match against Islamic Republic of Iran to be held on Sunday (March 12) at the same venue.
Earlier, on Wednesday last, Iran made a flying start as they dumped Turkmenistan by 7-1 goals in their opening group match.
The final round of the tournament will be held next year in Uzbekistan.
The coaches and captains of all three participating teams, in a press conference at BFF House on Tuesday, expressed their optimism to play an entertaining football to clinch the group title
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) announced a 35-member national team for the meet, which comprises 23 booters and 12 officials.
