The concern over cost burden has increased, despite business confidence index (BCI) has improved in the country, according to the Bangladesh Business Confidence Survey Report 2022-23.
The survey report conducted by Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) was revealed at a city hotel on Sunday.
The report showed that the overall BCI for 2022 stands at 74.4 out of 100, indicating a positive outlook for business conditions over the next six months.
Business entities across the country are confident that the volume of orders for the manufacturing sector, demand for services in the service sector, selling prices, and business activity will increase in the next six months, it showed.
As a result, businesses are willing to expand their employment and investment over the same period, it said.
