Call to complete housing project for insolvent FFs in time

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Liberation War Affairs Ministry recommended completing the construction work of the housing project for insolvent heroic freedom fighters within the stipulated time.
The JS body came up with the suggestion at its 33rd meeting held on the first instant at the parliament complex in the city with its Chairman Shajahan Khan in the chair, a press release said.
Committee members Liberation Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and A B Tajul Islam attended the meeting, reports BSS.
The committee asked the ministry concerned to complete the project within the stipulated time.
The parliamentary watchdog also suggested the ministry to present the problems identified in ancillary works including upward renovation of Gulistan Shopping Complex in the next meeting.
Besides, the committee recommended the ministry to send a summary to the Prime Minister by inserting necessary data for the purpose of constructing a multi-storied building for the development of Almas Cinema Hall in Chattogram.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, heads of various departments and organizations, officials concerned of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and Parliament Secretariat were present in the meeting.
