Illegal sand extraction in Madhukhali

The Executive Magistrate of the Mobile Court has seized a dredger machine and imposed a cash fine of Tk 50,000 for extracting sand with an illegal dredger machine in Faridpur’s Madhukhali. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Shamim Ara conducted this court in the river near Kheaghat of Dumain Union of the upazila on Thursday afternoon.
With the help of Madhukhali police station, in the mobile court, Royal Molya, son of Azizur Rahman Molya of Rainagar village of Sreepur upazila, was imposed and collected a fine of Tk 50,000 in cash as per Balu Mahal and Soil Management Act 2010 (15) 1. At that time several policemen including SI Nani Gopal of Madukhali Police Station, Nazir of Upazila Land Office Ajay Kumar Malo were present.
