SLICL vows to bring changes in insurance sector

Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) vows to meet the demand of diverse customers with the highest level of commitment through ensuring transparency and accountability, and thus aims to bring revolutionary changes in the country’s insurance sector.
Mir Rashed Bin Aman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited made this commitment on Wednesday in a rally to observe the national insurance day-2023.
“We are expecting some good decisions regarding insurance in the upcoming national budget. I think there is more to do in the insurance sector including increasing insurance industry employment and taxation,” Mir Rashed Bin Aman said.
“The government is emphasizing on the insurance sector. The government has already announced 1 March as the National Insurance Day, which will play an important role in creating a positive outlook of the masses about the sector,” he added, said a press release.
About one crore people are related with the insurance sector and some lakh are employed in this sector, he mentioned.
Bangladesh’s insurance premium records a staggering 12.04 per cent growth in 2022, and 8.3% in 2021, comparative with 3.4 percent global insurance premium outlook during the pandemic in 2021. Sonali Life Insurance company officials and employees also attended the rally held in front of the company’s head office in the capital’s Malibagh area.
