Ctg to get separate sports fields for women

Chattogram is getting separate fields for women including football, cricket and hockey. Chattogram Deputy Commissioner and CJKS President Abul Basar Md Fakhruzzaman said this while visiting the outer stadium of the city on Monday.
With the aim of developing sports fields, ‘no more fairs in playgrounds’, in implementation of the Prime Minister’s announcement, Chittagong Sports Association (CJKS) under the leadership of the District Commissioner, Chittagong District Sports Association (CJKS) has started conservation activities for all playgrounds including outer stadium, railway polo ground and outer stadium in Chattogram .
Chattogram District Commissioner has announced the establishment of 1 playground in 191 unions of 15 upazilas of Chattogram not only in the city but also in the next one year. As a first step, the Deputy Commissioner visited the outer stadium at 11 am on Thursday. Once upon a time there was great excitement in Chattogram sports grounds. That passion is now absent in the flow of time. Although the Chattogram District Sports Organization (CJKS) and the Divisional Sports Organization together organize sports throughout the year.Among these, CJKS organizes 30 to 35 events in one MA Aziz Stadium. Sports Council feels that over-reliance on one venue is pushing Chattogram’s sports arena back. In the recent past, various leagues and tournaments were held in the city’s outer stadiums, but in recent times, the sport has almost been banished there due to the pressure of fairs. Even if there is no fair during the monsoon season, children and teenagers cannot play there due to water-logging.
he government’s decision to not hold a fair in the playground has brought life back to Chittagong. In the meantime, everyone applauded the decision taken by the Deputy Commissioner to plan separate fields for football, cricket, hockey and women.
