Tk20 lakh fake notes found in bus, two detained at Lohagara

Two people were arrested with fake notes of Tk20 lakh from Chattogram-bound Hanif bus on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway. They were arrested in front of the Chunati Range Forest Officer’s office in Lohagara around 10:30am on Wednesday.
The arrested are – Md Rubel (32) son of Md Belayet of Charpara Howladar house of Daulatkhan thana of Bhola district and Omar Ali (50) son of deceased Abul Kashem of Abul Kashem house in Kanchana Jot Pukaria of Satkania in Chattogram.
Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Atiqur Rahman said, based on secret information; a search was conducted on the Chattogram-bound Hanif bus in front of the Chunti Range Forest Officer’s office on Wednesday at 10:30am. At this time, two people named Md Rubel and Omar Ali were arrested. A total of 20 lakh counterfeit taka were recovered from their custody in 20 bundles of Tk1000 notes into Tk1 lakh.
