Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan needs six wickets to reach the 300-wicket elite club in One Day International (ODI) cricket. Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh Cricket team will play against England Cricket team in his 225th ODI match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today.
If Shakib Al Hasan can bag six wickets in the three-match ODI series against England, he will be the first Bangladesh bowler, who can reach the 300-wicket elite club.
Shakib captured 294 wickets playing 224 ODI matches. Former captain and pacer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza attained the second position claiming 269 wickets playing 218 ODI matches. Former spinner Abdur Razzak Raj achieved the third spot grabbing 207 wickets playing 153 ODI matches.
On the other hand, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman is now in the fourth position bagging 141 wickets playing 82 ODI matches.
