Boy kills by easy bike in Mongla
An 8 years old boy was killed when a speeding battery run easy bike ran over him in the village Madhyapara within Mithakhali Union under Mongla Upazila in Bagerhat district on Sunday morning (at about 10-30 am), according to a report received here. The deceased was identified as Abullah Shaikh (8), son of one Md. Mukul Shaikh of the village and a student of Class-I of the local Rudra Mohammad Shahdulah Govt. Primary School.
Bikash Chandra Ghose, Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Mongla PS told, deceased Abdullah Shaikh came out from his house in order to purchase chalk-lets from shop and while he was crossing the road the speeding killer easy bike that was coming from the local Mithakhali village market ran over him and fled away. As a result, the boy was fatally injured. Some locals recovered the injured boy and sent him to Mongla Upazila Healthd Complex the physician on duty declared him dead. The Police Officer aded, in this connection a UD case was lodged with the PS and legal processing is going on.
Drug traders arrested
Two persons were arrested along with Yaba pills from Morrelganj Pourshasava area under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district in the early hours of Sunday. The arrested persons are Ibrahim Faraji (33), a former General Secretary of (Morrelgaj) Pourasabha unit of Bangladesh Chatra League and son of one Abdul Kader Faraji, Adarshapara area within Morrelganj Pourasabha and his associate Shawn Chaprashi, son of one Abu Chapashi, hails from Bhaijora area under the Upazila. The arrested drug traders were already sent to the court after lodging a case with the PS against them under Narcotic Controlling Act. Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS told, acting on secret information a police squad of the PS conducted a raid in the house of Ibrahim Faraji within the Pourashabha at mid night of Saturday and arrested the drug traders. At that time the police seized 120 Yaba pills and 3 mobile phones from them. In the year 2018 drug trader Ibrahim Faraji was arrested along with 240 Yaba pills by a contingent of RAB. After the incident he was ousted from the post of General Secretary of Morrelganj Pourashabha unit of Bangadesh Chatra League. Former Chatra League leader Ibrahim Faraji was also arrested along with a woman named Mou in the hands of police on May 18 in the year of 2022 and at that time police seized 1 (one) thousand 2 hundred Yaba pills from their possession.
2 friends killed in road mishap
Two friends were killed on the spot on Dhaka-Khulna Highway at Mulghar area (near at Mulghar Orphanage) under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district when their motor cycle was dashed from its behind violently by an unidentified passenger coach on Wednesday afternoon (at 2 pm), according to a delayed report received here. The deceased persons were identified as Shakir Sardar, son of one Moja Sardar of village Kakdanga under Fakirhat Upazila and Sadik, son of one Mohor Ali of the same village. It is learnt from Muhammad Alimuzzaman, Oficer-in-charge of Fakirhat Model PS that the deceased friends were going to Mollahat from Fakirhat by a motor cycle and when they reached the place of occurrence the killer passenger coach that was also going to the same direction dashed the motorcycle from its behind and fled away. As a result, both the friends were slashed up on the Highway and killed on the spot. Being informed of the matter some locals recovered the dead bodies from there and sent them to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex. The police officer added, after the completion of legal all legal processings the dead bodies will be handed over to the relatives.
