Memorial meeting on Dr SA Malek today

A memorial meeting remembering Dr S A Malek, former President of Bangabandhu Parishad, will be held at Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib auditorium at Shahbagh National Museum in the city today (Sunday). The meeting will be held at 10am.
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will join the meeting virtually as the chief guest.
Dr SA Malek also a member of Awami League advisory council, died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital on December 6, 2022, reports BSS.
SA Malek actively participated in all the political struggles including six-point movement, Language Movement and the War of Liberation. He was elected a parliament member from Faridpur-1 constituency as a candidate of Awami League in 1973.
Malek, also was a political advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from 1996 to 2001 Dr S A Malek is also a popular writer and he wrote a book titled ‘Bangabandhu Rajniti o Proshason.
