Mustafizur to play for Delhi Capitals

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman will play for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) Cricket. Delhi Capitals will take on Lucknow Super Giants in their first match on April 1. A number of three cricketers from Bangladesh will take part in the forthcoming IPL, the most popular franchise-based cricket competition of the world. Ace all-rounder Shakib Al and prolific batter Litton Das will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in this year’s IPL.
The IPL will begin between the match of defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on March 31.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have a bad news as their regular cricketer and skipper Rishabh Pant was seriously injured in a road mishap. So, Rishabh Pant could not play in this year’s edition of IPL. Australian star cricketer and noted batter David Warner will lead Delhi Capitals in the place of Rishabh Pant. Earlier, Delhi Capitals have chosen David Warner as the Captain of Delhi Capitals. But, Warner got injury during the Test series between Australia and India recently. Later, Warner recovered from injury. So, Delhi Capitals have named David Warner as the Captain of their outfit. Axar Patel will act as his deputy in this year’s IPL.
Australian legend cricketer and coach Ricky Ponting is the Head Coach of Delhi Capitals. Former president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and renowned cricketer Sourav Ganguly will act as an Advisor of Delhi Capitals.
Earlier, David Warner led the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL Cricket.
Warner played 99 Twenty20 International (T20I) matches for Australia. He scored 2894 runs including a century in T20I matches for Australia. Warner played 162 matches in IPL. He scored 5881 runs with an average of 42.01. His strike rate is 140.69.
