The court fixed April 3 to submit investigation report about two sons of Tarikat Federation Chairman and Chattogram-2 MP Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari and 12 other people for embezzling about Tk 39.40 crore from the Prime Finance and Investment Limited.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Asaduzzaman has fixed date after hearing the case.
Before that on Sunday the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) approved filing case against 14 people including two sons of Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari, for embezzling about Tk 39.40 crore from the Prime Finance and Investment Limited.
ACC’s Dhaka-1 Coordinated District Office Assistant Director Md Saiful Islam lodged the case against Najibul Bashar’s two sons- Syed Tyebul Bashar Maizbhandari and Syed Aftabul Bashar Maizbhandari.
The anti-graft body decided to register the lawsuit after it found the accused embezzled about Tk 39.40 crore.
The other accused are the Prime Finance and Investment Limited’s former Chairman KM Khaled, his son KM Rakib Hossain and his relative Khandkar Mostahid, the Current Director of the institution Muslima Shirin, ZM Kaiser, Md. Aliuzzaman, M. Shahadat Hossain Kiran, Senior Vice-President Gulshan Ara Hafiz and Assistant Vice-President Tazrian Haque, former Managing Director Asad Khan, former Deputy Managing Director Md. Ahsan Kabir Khan and former Executive Vice President Rezaul Haque.
