CPA earns Tk6.84cr, 117 ships unloaded goods in Matarbari Port

So far, 117 ships have unloaded goods at the jetty of the coal-based power plant built next to the country’s first deep sea port construction project in Matarbari of Maheshkhali upazila. Chattogram port has earned Tk6 crore 84 lakh as a result of these ships being docked at the jetty.
According to JICA’s preliminary survey, Matarbari deep sea port will be able to accommodate 16 metres deep and 2.5 metres long vessels with a total of 8,000 single container products. At present, Chattogram port can accommodate ships with a maximum of 2500 single containers.
