Shabnam on Robin Ghosh’s death anniversary

Robin Ghosh, the legendary music
composer of Bangladesh, passed away on February 13, 2016. Today is his
seventh death anniversary. On the
death anniversary of Robin Ghosh, his wife Shabnam Ghosh, the popular
heroine of Bangladesh and Pakistan,
will go to the Christian cemetery with flowers next to Baldha Garden in the
capital. She will go there at 7:00am.
While talking in this regard, Shabnam told this correspondent, “Time goes by so fast, I can’t understand. See how many years have passed from life. Again, Robin died seven years ago. My only son, Roni, and I sit and talk about how time flies. And there is a story about Robin every day. If he was alive, he would have done this, he would have done that – what else? Anyway today is the vivisection tribute to his departed soul on his death anniversary. May he be well wherever he is.”
Robin Ghosh has mainly worked in Pakistan as a music composer. He has been awarded the highest honor ‘Nigar Award’ six times. He was the music director of Pakistani movie ‘Ayna.’ The song titled ‘Mujhe Dilse Na Bholana’ written by Taslim Fazil and composed by Robin Ghosh, rendered by Alamgir and Mehnaz in this film takes Robin Ghosh to unique heights as a composer.
After that Robin Ghosh worked as composer and music director in many more movies. However, even before the movie ‘Ayna,’ he has worked as a composer and music director in many Urdu movies.
One of the songs composed by Robin Ghosh in Bangladesh is ‘Aynaate Ei Mukh Dekhbe Jokhon’ from Ashok Ghosh’s movie ‘Nacher Putul’ starring Razzak and Shabnam. Also, the song ‘Phuler Kane Bhromor Eshe’ from the movie ‘Pitch Dhala Poth’ starring Razzak-Babita is also etched in the minds of the audience today. Artists also danced to the song ‘Ami Rupnogorer Rajkonya’ at various events. This song was also composed by Robin Ghosh.
Robin Ghosh and Shabnam tied the nuptial knot on December 21 in 1963. After many days of marriage, Shabnam did not act in movies. Later, Shabnam returned to acting with Khan Ataur Rahman directed movie ‘Raja Sonyasi.’
