Bashundhara Kings extend lead

Defending Champions Bashundhara Kings extended their lead further as they blanked Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 3-0 goals in the Bangladesh Premier League Football was held on Saturday at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city.
In the proceeding, Brazilian forward Dorielton scored a brace while Uzbek midfielder Asror Gofurov supported him with a lone goal for Bashundhara Kings, who led the first half by 1-0 goal.
Uzbek midfielder Asror Gofurov put Bashundhara Kings ahead in the 37th minute while after the breather Dorielton doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Bashundhara in the 60th minute of the match.
He completed the winners’ tally scoring his second and third goal for Bashundhara Kings in the 74th minute.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club however tried their best to stage a fight back in the match, but they could not convert any goal in the remaining proceeding and eventually they had to leave the field with empty hand.
The day’s win saw, Bashundhara extended their lead in the points table with 27 points from nine matches while stand at fifth position in the table with 12 points playing eight outings.
