Books unveiling ceremony held at JU

An unveiling ceremony of two books of JU associate Professor Hosne Ara titled ‘Bogurar Muktijoddha’ and ‘Bangabandhu o Chhatra Leaguer Rajniti’ was held on Wednesday.
JU Vice Chancellor Prof Nurul Alam unveiled the books as the chief guest around 3:30pm at the new arts building of the university.
Addressing the function as keynote speaker, Dhaka University History department Professor Abu Mohammad Delowar Hossain said, “Hosne Ara has done a tremendous job. The contribution of Chhatra League was glorious in the time of liberation war but now it becomes worse day by day. Chhatra League can take lessons from these books.”
Professor Nurul Alam said, “The contribution of Chhatra League in the Language Movement in 1952, Liberation War 1971 and other rational movements of the country. The newly unveiled books will enrich all of you about history.”
Author of the books Hosne Ara said, “I uphold 63 guerilla fighting during the Liberation War of Bangladesh and also took several interviews of the freedom fighters. I tried to write the true history of the Liberation War.”
Presided over by Chairman of History department Prof Mozahidul Islam while JU Pro VC (Administration) Prof Sheikh Monzurul Huq, treasurer Prof Rasheda Akhter, students and teachers of various departments, were present, among others.
