Winter clothes distributed in districts

The authority of Bir Muktijoddha Emdad Ali Foundation (BMEAF) distributed blankets among 500 cold-stricken poor and distressed people in a function held at Manohar High School ground in the city on Monday afternoon.
Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nure Alam Mina attended the function and distributed the blankets as the chief guest.
With BMEAF Chairman Tauhidul Islam Tuhin in the chair, Convener of Rangpur City Awami League Dr. Md. Delwar Hossain and its Joint Convener Md. Abul Kashem attended the function as special guests.
 In the function, the BMEAF authority also distributed torch lights, whistles and dresses among night guards of the same area under Ward No-2 of Rangpur city.
Baraigram (Natore) Correspondent says: Dr. Md. Siddikur Rahman Patwari, Chairman of Baraigram Upazila Parishad in Natore has distributed winter clothes among four hundred poor men and women in Gurdaspur and Baraigram upazilas.
200 blankets were distributed among the autorickshaw drivers and the poor people under the chairmanship of Abdur Rashid, President of Autorickshaw Association, at Kaidema Bazar of Chapila Union of Gurdaspur Upazila recently . Also,200 blankets were distributed among the poor people under the chairmanship of Zulfikar Ali Mithu, President of Nagar Union Jubo League, in Kurshait Bazar of Baraigram Upazila on Sunday afternoon. .
Former Joint General Secretary of Banpara Municipal Awami League Abul Kalam Azad, veteran Awami League leader Abdus Sobhan Pramanik, Baraigram Upazila Bangabandhu Sainik League President Isaac Ali, Chapila Union Awami League General Secretary Azahar Ali spoke at the blanket distribution event.
BSS from Laxmipur adds : A total of 3,500 blankets were distributed among the cold-affected poor people living in Sadar upazila of the district Monday.
The blankets were given from the own fund of Golam Farooq Pinku president of the District Awami of the district.
Golam Farooq handed over the blankets at his own house through the president and general secretary of Awami League of 12 unions of Sadar Upazila and the leaders and activists of various units of 15 wards of the municipality this afternoon.
