2 killed and 14 injured in 2 separate road mishaps in Bgerhat

Two persons were killed and 14 others were injured in 2 separate road accidents took place in Fakirhat and Mollahat Upazilas of Bagerhat district on Wednesday.
It is learnt from the police that one biker named Sanjoy Biswas was going to Khulna from Katakhali Mor (crossing point of 4 Highways) under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district by a motor bike on Wednesday afternoon (at 3 pm) and when he reached the place of occurrence (near Katakhali) on Khulna-Mongla Highway his motor bike was collided head on with a speeding tank-lorry that was coming from the opposite direction. As a result, the biker was splashed up on the road side and was fatally injured. Katakhali Highway police recovered him from there and rushed him to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex where the physician on duty declared him dead. Deceased Sujan Biswas was the son of one Anukul Biswas of village Ambaria under Digholia Upazila in Khulna district. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Katakhali Highway PS confirmed the matter and told, the killer tank-lorry was seized. But its driver and helper managed to escape.
