BFF plans to earn good result in SAFF Championship

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has planned to earn a good result in the upcoming South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship. The SAFF Championship is scheduled to be held from June 20 to July 3. The venue of the SAFF Championship has not yet finalised. Chairman of the National Teams Management Committee of the BFF and Vice-President of BFF Kazi Nabil Ahmed, General Secretary of the BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera discussed about the preparation of Bangladesh National Football team’s in the ensuing SAFF Championship. Besides, they talked about to roll the football competitions in the total year of 2023. After the discussion Nabil spoke to the journalists on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned that the BFF has extended the contract with Cabrera for more one year.
Nabil said, ” We have taken part in the meeting as a routine work. The ‘FIFA Window’ is in March. We have not finalised that the opponents teams of Bangladesh in the ‘FIFA Window’. We shall finalise all the matters after discuss with the President of BFF and the other members of the Executive Committee of the Federation.”
He said, ” Last year Bangladesh Football team coached under supervision of Cabrera. Bangladesh team drew with Indonesia in the AFC Asian Cup Qualification match. Bangladesh lost to Bahrain by two goals to nil after giving fight. Bangladesh lost Turkmenistan by 2-1 goals after playing competitive football.
Cabrera has an idea about our footballers. We expect Bangladesh team will bring a good result under the supervision of Cabrera.”
” We shall try to arrange the matches in our country in ‘FIFA Window’. We shall try to increase our FIFA rankings in the next year”, he added.
