Two-day photo exhibition and discussion remembering SA Malek begins

Two-day long photo exhibition and discussion ceremony remembering the Former Political Adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangabandhu Parishad President Dr SA Malek begin on Sunday at central Shaheed Minar.
The two day long discussion session has been arranged with the joint venture of Bangabandhu Parishad and World University of Bangladesh.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen joined the discussion session as the chief guest while DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman presided over the session. Professor Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Prof. Moshiur Rahman, Dr. Monoronjon Ghoshal and other prominent figures were present among others.
Besides a photo exhibition program has been displayed at the premises of Shaheed Minar by photographer Fojit Sheikh Babu to mark the works and contribution of Dr. SA Malek.
“Mr. Malek was a thinker and a researcher but he never tried to seek attention of others. He was an honest and outspoken person and for this the death of Dr. SA Malek is a loss of nation,” Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said.
Praying forgiveness for the departed soul of SA Malek, foreign minister said that recently, there have been many haphazards, but if Mr. Malek were alive, problems would have been discussed openly and he could outspoken the problems frankly,”
Prof. Moshiur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of National University, said, ” Dr. SA Malek preserved the ideal of Bangabandhu till his death. Though SA Malek died, he is alive in our hearts. When we read his writings, when we see his works and when we see his contribution, it is as if we see him alive.”
Fojit Sheikh Babu, who arranged the photo exhibition, said, ” I’m not an educated person and I am not rich too but my mother taught me how to help people. Since then, I realised that working for the country and working for the people is as equal as helping the countryman.”
